Appliqué
Stitch on a highly decorative patch.
Description
Description
The applique technique combines embroidery, with the addition of fabric shapes. Applique is typically used when large areas of a design need to be filled, and the cost of doing so with standard embroidery stitches would be cost-prohibitive. Applique uses the aforementioned fabric shapes, combined with outline stitches, to fill the areas of the design and add dimension.
